Most travel sites answer the question “what can I book here?”. We're trying to answer a harder one: what is actually worth your morning?

A person reads every word
Nothing is auto-published. A curator reads the whole listing, checks the photographs are the host's own, and either approves it, asks for changes with specific reasons, or declines it. Most listings need one round of changes. That is the point.

Rare beats convenient
If it is on the first page of a search, it is not for us. We look for the thing you would only find by knowing somebody — the workshop behind the shop, the market before dawn, the ferry nobody photographs.

The host is the product
These are not tours run by agencies. They are hours spent with the person who actually does the thing, in the place they actually do it.

We are deliberately building the supply side first. Prices shown are indicative and non-binding, there is no checkout, and no money changes hands. Tell us you're interested and we'll write when that changes.
